Qualities of Conscious Leaders
Conscious leaders have deep self-awareness and self-knowledge. They know their higher motivators and intentions. They have a clear vision and a sense of purpose. Their actions and words are congruent with their beliefs, values and principles that they live by.
They know who they truly are, and know that their worth and value are not measured by their title or accomplishments. Conscious leaders own their decisions, stand up for the good of all. They are vulnerable and courageous.
Conscious leaders are constantly striving for growth, challenging themselves to be and contribute more. They know that there are no failures or mistakes, only opportunities to grow; therefore, they are fearless and excited about the learning experience.
They look for the unique talents and gifts of each individual and want to learn from them. They have a curious mindset.
They look inward, working in themselves to grow, to understand even deeper what motivates them and their purpose. Conscious leaders are relentlessly looking to unearth those subconscious limitations that are in the way of living their highest purpose.
Ego is that self-identification with external things, the voice in mind seeking to please others, wanting to be right, looking to control and defend.
Conscious leaders are aware of how the ego works and keep theirs in check because they know how ego can negatively impact their leadership. They know ego creates fear, limiting the full potential of individuals and teams.
Conscious leaders lead with their hearts and have unshakable faith. They motivate and make decisions coming from love and not from fear. They are selfless and look for the well-being of all.
Conscious leaders use their emotions as a barometer or KPI of wherethey are and an insight of what’s going on within.
They take responsibility for their emotions and do not allow them to control their behaviours. They self-regulate their emotions so that they are not biased at making decsions.
They are not afraid to show their emotions. It doesn’t mean that they are “soft.” They know that it gives them an edge of assertiveness, stepping in their authenticity and intentionally communicating effectively to generate action.
